Specialized treatment for internships and clinical practice—It’s
all built-in.
HigherEd includes special capabilities for documenting student
internships and field work. All aspects of internship artifacts
can be customized and the data collected is recorded, categorized,
and aggregated for reporting.
Internship artifacts are set up to document the type of activity,
its location, the name of the cooperating staff and the university
supervisor. Additionally, they can also record other relevant
information about the internship such as the number of hours,
the subjects, and any other relevant information. Students
can record ongoing journals about the internships and get
feedback from cooperating staff and university supervisors
on their performance. Completed internship artifacts can be
attached to course and program portfolios.
The system is customized to include the full list of cooperating
sites and staff with your unit. Each internship activity can
be associated with a cooperating site, cooperating staff,
and university supervisors.
Placement coordinators can access detailed information such
as demographics, transcripts, and assessments about students
before making placements. Coordinators can also view customized
information about cooperating sites and staff, including specializations,
qualifications and payment rates, allowing optimal matches
for student internship placement.
