Dr. Ross received all three of her degrees from Florida State University in early childhood/elementary education. In Florida she taught and was an administrator in preschool and child care centers. During her tenure at JMU, she has been a professor, department head, associate dean, NCATE Coordinator, and served as the director of the University's SACS self-study. Dr. Ross serves on the NCATE Board of Examiners and consults with institutions on issues of accreditation and assessment. |

Dr. Stephen Wall-Smith is the Director of Assessment at Fitchburg State College in Fitchburg, MA. He was brought to the College specifically to help programs outside teacher education implement Tk20 as an assessment tool. He has earned degrees from New York University and the University of Missouri-Columbia, and has worked with large-scale assessment and program effectiveness projects in elementary, secondary, post-secondary, institutional, and military settings for nearly 20 years. |

She has been in the field of education for over twenty five years as a teacher and administrator with a research interest in teacher education, early childhood education, and play. Dr. Roger Wen currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Education and Business in the Department of Graduate & Adult Studies and also serves as the Director of Instructional Technology at William Woods University, Fulton, MO. Roger has a B.B.A. in Business Administration and M.S in Human Resources Development. He also holds a Ph.D. in Technology Teaching with support area in Information Science from University of Missouri - Columbia. Roger teaches mostly Educational Technology courses and other Educational and Business courses at Master/Specialist level. |

Dr. Katricia Pierson currently serves as the Associate Dean of Assessment and as Director of the University Honors Program. She also teaches in the undergraduate program, covering composition or British literature courses. Katricia has a B.A. in secondary English and journalism education, an M.A. in British literature, and a Ph.D. in medieval British literature with support areas in composition and rhetoric. |
A Model for Outcomes Assessments

Danita McAnally’s leadership in community colleges has been varied. She has been an administrator, tenured faculty member, and a speaker/consultant on strategic planning, assessment and accreditation. During the past decade, she has lead Amarillo College in planning, evaluation, assessment, accreditation, and grant development.
Beyond the past ten years in administration at AC, her experience includes four years as Director of Television at Navarro College (NC) and ten years as Department Chair of Radio-TV & Journalism at AC. She taught radio - television and speech at NC from 1978-1987 and at AC from 1987-1999. In addition, Danita was elected President of the Texas Community College Teachers Association (TCCTA) in 2007-2008.
Danita’s background in communication and her experience with innovative approaches to solving problems relevant to colleges and universities have created demand for her services as a consultant and speaker. She has been a regular presenter at the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) Commission on Colleges annual conferences. Her presentations have included designing student outcomes assessments from a context of strategic planning and return appearances on the topic of changing a college or university into an all-electronic environment. Each presentation has resulted in requests from institutions to consult.

Matthew Capps is the NCATE Coordinator for the West College of Education and University Coordinator for TK20 at Midwestern State University. He has been in the field of education for 15 years working in public schools and university settings. His current work focuses on the use of assessment in education and the implementation of assessment plans and learning outcomes across university campuses. |

Grant Simpson is the Dean of the West College of Education at Midwestern State University. His educational career began in 1971, working as a teacher, principal, college professor, and consultant to many school districts and educational organizations. In the last five years, the West College of Education has secured over $6 million in USDOE funds for teacher recruitment in math, science, foreign languages, bilingual, and special education. In addition, Dr. Simpson is very active in statewide and regional P-16 initiatives that support and develop career and college opportunities for Texas youth. |
